In search of making memories with the kids? Rather than watching another movie, spend some time aboard an open-air off-road vehicle and tour green fields, hills, and wooded areas in search of 4-legged residents. Lake Tobias Wildlife Park runs tours throughout the day so you can plan when to see deer, bison, and buffalo.
Most noteworthy, your driver will make multiple stops during the 35-45 minute journey because animals will approach the vehicle looking for food. Guests may hand-feed them pre-approved snacks purchased from Lake Tobias Wildlife Park.
Safari tours operate rain or shine. Wet weather can make for lasting impressions. Here are a few things to bring along depending on conditions.
- Rain boots
- Waterproof camera
- Water repellant bag
- Change of clothing
- Hat (snug fit or with under chin strap)
While safari rides aren't for everyone (very bumpy and no seatbelts), another option is to walk around and visit other animals. Within the Park is a small zoo with big cats, sloths, kangaroos, and monkeys, among others.
